Hopefully, everyone who attended on Monday found it useful to learn how to prepare digital and printed images for competition. We’ve now added a ‘How To Do Things’ section to the website to allow people to download pdf documents on the various subjects covered. Over time, we plan to build this section into a set of useful downloads.
You can find the new page by clicking on ‘Information’ at the top of the Home page and selecting ‘How To Do Things’.
Our season kicked off at Macclesfield Library on Monday evening (11th September). It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and so good to see lots of new ones. You’re all very welcome. Thank you all for coming.
The evening kicked off with the aims of the club and the programme for the upcoming season. It’s going to be a busy season so hopefully there’s lot for everyone to get involved with and enjoy, so thanks to Val and Vince and their minions for pulling this together. If you didn’t pick up your programme last night it is available on the web site where a PDF version can be downloaded, but there will be printed copies available on Monday evenings.
Vince took us through our new camera challenge. So it’s back to basics for a bit of fun. So no mega-lenses, no auto-focus, no image stabilisation, but the possibilities for plenty of imagination and fun! So find some friends, pick up your camera and get creative. The challenge is up and running, so the first group, your time is ticking and your camera should be clicking, well, up to your allotted 6 clicks!
Dave Boam then took us through part of his on-going photographic journey, lots of wonderful images and great to see the Dave’s being so successful with his images. It’s an inspiration for the rest of us, so thanks Dave for sharing it was very enjoyable, keep going!
So once again, thank you all for coming, for those who couldn’t make it last night, we hope to see you soon, but let the season commence!
